Robert "Bob" Franklin Beasley Sr.

Bob Beasley, age 90, entered his heavenly home on Monday, October 24, 2022, at his Jackson residence surrounded by his loving family
He was born in Jackson, TN on August 4, 1932, the son of the late Ellis and Frances Beasley. He married his first wife, Ramona Ann Mason Beasley, who preceded him in death in November 2019. A graduate of Jackson High School, Bob was an accomplished Golden Glove Boxer, turning professional for a brief time. His working career began with Bakers Drug Store at the age of seventeen then he went to work at the Illinois Central Railroad, also Cooper Sign Company, and worked as a brick layer for a brief period of time. He will be remembered the most for Bob’s House of Honda that he and his family owned and operated beginning in 1968.
A fifty-year member of Englewood Baptist Church, Bob taught second grade Sunday school for many years and was one of the founding members of the Hallelujah Station at the church. He cared deeply for his community, serving as a Madison County Commissioner, was a board member for Commercial Bank and had a position on the Park Commission for the State of Tennessee and was a member of the Tennessee Army National Guard.
Bob had an integral part in the growth and development of many young men as he coached Little League Baseball, teaching them many life lessons. His continued his love for sports by participating in senior league softball, was a part of the Colorado 500 for several years and enjoyed deep sea diving. He was an avid motorcyclist and made friends all across the country at many rides and events.
Bob is survived by his wife, Carolyn Blurton Beasley, his children, Bob Beasley, Jr. and wife Rhonda, Kimba Barker and husband Phillip, and Holly Ruble and husband John; three sisters, Nancy Senter, Carrie Moffit and husband Keith, and Mary Hammer and husband Wally; six grandchildren, Sunnye Lawrence and husband A C Felker and Richard Lawrence, Mason Cooper and husband Ben, Bob Beasley III and wife Lena, Grant and Carter Ruble, and five great-grandchildren.
SERVICE: A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Englewood Baptist Church with Dr. Brent Lay and Dr. Philip Jett officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends at Englewood Baptist Church on Friday, October 28, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the service time.
Pallbearers to serve will be Richard Lawrence, Bob Beasley III, Grant Ruble, Carter Ruble, Kolby Johnson, and Ben Cooper.
