Lloyd Winston Cowan

Lloyd Winston Cowan died peacefully February 26, 2023, at his Jackson, TN residence with his loving family at his side, at the age of 81.
He was born on August 27, 1941, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the son of the late Harry and Leatha Brown Cowan. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was retired as an agent with John Hancock Life Insurance Company. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Jackson, TN.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Cowan of Jackson, TN; his two daughters, Melanie Gobbell and husband Kimber of Jackson, TN and Lisa Newsome and husband Todd of Charlotte, NC; his two sons, Christopher Cowan and wife Robin Ooltewah, TN and Lawrence “Larry” Cowan and wife Tammy of Ooltewah, TN; a stepdaughter, Tammy Bryant and husband Jim of Jackson, TN and two stepsons, Randall A Rinks and wife Shelia of Finger, TN and Gregory N. Rinks and wife Nancy of Jackson, TN.
A funeral service for Lloyd will be held at 11:30 Tuesday, February 28, 2023 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Rev. John Baker of the Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the West Tennessee Veteran Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads.
Pallbearers serving will be Jackson Gobbell, Derek Northrop, Jonah, Rinks, David Anthony, Jonathan Bolding, and Hunter Reedy. Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Newsome and Jim Bryant.
The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Arrington Funeral Directors from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 11:30 a.m.
