Fred E. Parrish entered his heavenly home on September 4, 2026, at his residence in Jackson, Tennessee, with his family at his side. He was born in Luray, Tennessee, the son of the late Joseph Earl and Freddie Maness Parrish and will be remembered with love by those who knew him and shared his life.
Mr. Parrish leaves behind a family who will continue to cherish his memory. He is survived by his daughter, Monica Rene' Taylor and Mark Lenow; his stepson, Michael G. Carter and Cathy; and his stepdaughters, Teresa Whiteford and Mike, and Linda Seaman and Byron.
He was a graduate of Chester County High School, who enjoyed outdoor sports, hunting and fishing and NASCAR and being a member of the Jackson Jaycees. In his younger years he enjoyed bowling. For fifteen years he was the owner and operator of Quality Motors Used Cars in Jackson. He was retired as a correctional officer with the Madison County Sheriff's Department. He was Baptist in his belief and had attended Unity Southern Baptist in Chester County, Clarks Creek Primitive Baptist and Highland Park Baptist of Jackson, TN.
His memory will also be treasured by his grandchildren, Trey Haywood and McKenzie, RC Hughes and Ashley, Kristi Hughes, Will Carter and Andrew, Chris Carter and April, Eric King, Mikey Carter, Taylor Sipes and Patric, Sarah Overman (Tony). He was further blessed with great-grandchildren Phoebe Hughes, Alaina Campbell and Wes, Dalton Carter, Jacob Carter, Paisleigh Carter, Preston Carter, Presleigh Carter, Bayleigh Sipes, Bryleigh Sipes, Odie Haywood, Kohen Hughes, and a great-great grandchild, Shee Campbell. The love of this large and connected family stands as a lasting part of his legacy, and his place in their lives will be remembered with deep affection.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Sadie Parrish in 2024, a brother Clyde E. Parris and wife Ruth and a sister, Betty Haggard and husband James.
SERVICES: A graveside service for Fred E. Parrish will be held on September 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Highland Memorial Gardens, 3360 N Highland Ave, Jackson, Tennessee 38305.
Fred E. Parrish will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. May his memory bring comfort and peace to all who mourn his passing.
