Jerry Keith Sumler

Jerry Keith Sumler, of Jackson, Tennessee, passed away on September 12, 2026, in Jackson at the age of 65. Born on June 21, 1961, in Jackson, he was a familiar and valued presence to those who knew him, remembered for his outgoing nature and his dedicated way of living.

Jerry attended Northside High School through the 12th grade and went on to build a long and steady working life. He served as a forklift operator at Brobrick for more than 25 years, a reflection of the commitment and dependability that marked him throughout his life. Outside of work, he enjoyed golfing when he could, finding pleasure in time spent on the course. He also had a special love for his baby girl, Abbie, his dog, who held an important place in his heart.

Among the things Jerry valued most was his family, which he considered his proudest accomplishment. That devotion was evident in the way he lived and in the relationships he held close.

He is survived by his mother, Loretta Ann Taylor, and by his brother, Bryan Scott Sumler. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Dalton Sumler. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him and remain a lasting blessing in their hearts.
