Jerry Keith Sumler

Jerry Keith Sumler, of Jackson, Tennessee, passed away on September 12, 2026, in Jackson at the age of 65. He was born on June 21, 1961, in Jackson, and spent his life rooted in the community he called home.

Jerry was known as an outgoing and dedicated man whose steady presence meant a great deal to those around him. He attended Northside High School through the 12th grade and went on to build a long and faithful working life. For more than 25 years, he worked as a forklift operator at Brobrick, a role that reflected his strong work ethic and commitment.

Outside of work, Jerry enjoyed golfing when he could, finding pleasure in the simple moments the game provided. He also had a special love for his baby girl, Abbie, his dog, who held a cherished place in his heart. Above all else, Jerry’s proudest accomplishment was his family, who remained central to his life.

He is survived by his mother, Loretta Ann Taylor; his brothers, Mark Sumler and Bryan Scott Sumler; and his sister, Suzanne Sumler Mount. Each of them shared in the bond of family that meant so much to Jerry and will carry forward his memory with love.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Dalton Sumler.

Jerry Keith Sumler will be remembered for his dedication, his warm and outgoing nature, and the love he held for his family. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.
