J.C. Roe

J.C. Roe lived a long, full, and remarkable life, reaching the incredible age of 100 years old. He passed peacefully at the West Tennessee State Veterans Home on Sunday, September 19, 2026, and has now joined his beloved wife in heaven. He was born on April 28, 1926, in Jackson, Tennessee the son of the late Foster E. and Myrtle Lee Cliftt Roe

J.C. was a proud WW II veteran who served in Germany with the United States Army in the Infantry and held the rank of Staff Sargeant. After the military he went on to serve his community for twenty-eight years with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, dedicating many years of his life to serving and protecting others. After his retirement as a THP officer he was employed with Owens Corning in their security division. He was a long-time member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church.

He was one of seven brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his two sons, Richard Roe and his wife Cindy and Ronnie Roe and his wife Glenda, his two grandchildren, Amber Davis and husband Alan and Carrie Pledge and husband Thomas. He was also blessed with five great grandchildren: Christopher, William and Elijah Davis and Piper and Bailey Pledge. They brought love, joy and many special memories to his life.

Those who knew J.C. will remember him for the life he lived, the people he loved and the many memories he made with his family and community. Making it to 100 years of age was a tremendous blessing and a testament to the wonderful life he was given.

SERVICES: A time with family and friends to honor J.C.'s life will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Arrington Funeral Directors, with a funeral service to follow in the Chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Rev. Milton Knox officiating. Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, family and memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

J.C., you lived a great life and now you are reunited with the love of your life. Until we meet again.
