Doris Mae Davis

February 28, 1936 — July 2, 2021

Doris Mae Davis was born February 28, 1936, and went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ, July 2, 2021. She passed peaceful at her home with family by her side.
Mrs. Davis lived most of her life in Jackson and graduated from North Side High School in 1954. She married the love of her life, Harold Loyd Davis, the same year and built a wonderful life together for 67 years. She enjoyed taking trips, especially to the Great Smoky Mountains, but she loved her home and taking care of it. She also loved serving as a long-time member of South Jackson Church of Christ.
She will be waiting in heaven for her husband, Harold and two sons, Mike (Kay) and Randy (Mary) as well as 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and one sister-in law, Dianne (Richard) Hale.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Brookston and Ida Mae Phifer, and one brother, Billy Phifer.
Services to celebrate her life will be at Arrington Funeral Home, Tuesday, July 6, 2021 with Rev. Mike Davis and Rev. Marcie Hendrick officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00pm until 3:00pm prior to the service. Interment will follow at Ridgecrest Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Heath Goff, Keath Goff, Chris Davis, Jonathan Davis, Brodie Wilson, Zach Davis and Miles Wilson.
