Danny Joe Phillips

December 23, 1940 — August 20, 2020

Danny J. Phillips, age 79, died at his residence in Beech Bluff, TN after a short illness. He was born in Madison County the son of Homer and Ruby Wright Phillips.

He was retired as a professional driver contracting with Fed Ex, had served in law enforcement for 14 years, enjoyed crappie fishing, carpenter work, farming, loved to travel to his river cabin, enjoying family life and especially grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Phillips was a member of Beech Bluff Baptist Church and had served in the Tennessee Army National Guard.

Danny is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nancy David Phillips of Beech Bluff, TN; two sons, Davy (Rhonda S) Phillips of Beech Bluff, TN and Timothy (Kay) Phillips of Beech Bluff, TN; two grandchildren, Hunter (Chelsea) and Daniel (Amanda) and four great grandchildren, Weston, Gage, Daylon, and Silas.

SERVICES: The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Arrington Funeral Directors. This is a Celebration of Life gathering with the family. At 1:00 P.M. Military Funeral Honors will be rendered at Arrington Funeral Directors for Mr. Phillips service to our country.

Social Distancing and Masks are to be observed for the visitation and service.
