Troy Allen Miller

March 18, 1975 — July 20, 2021

Troy A. Miller, beloved husband, father, and son, died suddenly at the age of 46 on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at his residence. He was born in Aberdeen, MD on Tuesday, March 18, 1975, the son of Laurence Miller and the late Jamie Clark Folkenroth.

Troy was a graduate of Northeast High School and he went on to obtain his degree in education at Austin Peay State University both located Clarksville, TN. He became an admired educator who positively influenced many young people. Troy chose to pursue his teaching career at Rose Hill School for the Jackson Madison County School System.

Troy was a passionate man with a great love for many things. He loved yard sales and enjoyed repairing and reselling the items he would find along the way at the flea market booth he had recently started. Troy loved his old 1990 Nissan Red pickup, and he was an avidly faithful fan of Penn State Football and the late Joe Paterno.

Troy loved the Lord and took advantage of every opportunity to share the gospel with those he encountered. The most profoundly important love Troy had was for his two boys, Jake and Luke. He worshipped them and wanted them to know they were loved by him and the Lord.

Troy leaves behind his treasured wife of 20 years, Rebecca (Jacobs) Miller and their two sons, Jake and Luke all of Jackson, TN; his father, Laurence Miller; half -brother, Steven Folkenroth and half- sister, Kayla Wagner; as well as many other family, friends, and neighbors who mourn his passing.

A private graveside service with Bro. Joey Gowan officiating will be held later. The family wishes to extend their love and appreciation to all their friends, teachers, and the community that loved Troy and were so important to him. They ask that their privacy be respected during this most difficult time.
