October 19, 1941 — January 20, 2023

Joe Moore went to heaven on Friday, January 20, 2023, at Brookdale Memory Care of Jackson, at 81 years of age.
Born in Kennett, MO, on October 19, 1941, he was the son of Oby Jewel and Carrie Carter Moore. Joe was very patriotic from a young age serving his country in the Army National Guard. He had great respect for the flag and love for our country. He was a long-time member of Englewood Baptist Church in Jackson where he served as a deacon and children’s Sunday school teacher.
He had a thirty-five year career with Brown Shoe Company before starting his own home improvement business. He was an avid bass fisherman and also enjoyed working with wood and making many items for family and friends. His passion was his family and the ever present love he showed them as a husband, father, papaw, and great papaw. His love for Jesus was demonstrated by the way he served his family, friends, church and community.
