Bill Rhodes, age 69, died on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at his Jackson residence. A native of Jackson, TN Bill was born on May 18, 1946, the son of the late William N. Rhodes, Sr. and Virginia Durham Rhodes. Bill served in the United States Marine Corp during Vietnam. He was self-employed in automobile sales in Jackson for over twenty-five years. He loved to laugh and was a practical jokester. He enjoyed movies and helping individuals anyway he could. He was a devoted husband and father. His children and his grandchildren were his life. He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Judith A. Rhodes of Jackson; sons, Grant Alan Rhodes (Andrea Michelle) of Jackson, William Kelly Rhodes of Jackson and Robin D. Rhodes (Jennifer) of Crown Point, IN; daughters, Janie Carol Rhodes of Indiana and Tana L. Fleming (Barry) of Augusta, GA; a brother, Jerry Rhodes (Arkie) of Jackson; a sister, Cathy Lloyd of Beech Bluff; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry W. Rhodes and a sister Diane Moore. SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Frank Starr officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery with military honors. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Bartholomew, Heath Goff, Eric Price, Stan Morris, Barry Fleming, Peter Thomas and Jason Rogers.
