Billy OBrien, age 82, died on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at his residence. He was born on January 5, 1934 in Murfreesboro, TN, the son of the late Hugh and Mamie OBrien. He was retired from CO-OP as a mill foreman with over thirty-three years of employment. He was a member of Wards Grove Baptist Church since 1976, where he had maintained the church landscape for thirty years. He loved the outdoors and spending time helping others. He is survived by his wife of sixty years. Jean Helton OBrien of Lexington, TN; his daughter, Karen Wilkins and husband Michael of Jackson, TN; and a brother, Jack OBrien of Conroe, TX. He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank OBrien in 2007 and a sister Mary Ruth Jons in 1963. SERVICES: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Wards Grove Baptist Church with Rev., Ken Skelton officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, April 10 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM prior to the service at Wards Grove Baptist Church.
