William Shelby Hutcherson, 93, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at his residence. He was born August 21, 1921 in Jackson, TN the son of William and Lucy Jeffries Hutcherson. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army under Gen. George Patton in North Africa and Sicily. He was a 70 year member of IBEW and was the City of Jacksons first electrical inspector. He is survived by a son, Richard Hutcherson and wife Janice of Medon, TN; a daughter, Kay Oswalt and husband Chuck of Hernando, MS; two grandchildren, Rebecca Stewart and husband Steve and Chris Oswalt and wife Jennifer and three great grandchildren. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Arrington Funeral Directors with Dr. Barry Scott officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Hollywood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Aldersgate United Methodist Church or Jackson Madison Co. Humane Society.
