Wesley L. Ivey, 55, died on Monday, February 10, 2014 at his residence.
A native of Gainesville, GA, he was born on February 22, 1958, the son of Allene Kerns Ivey and the late Minor Ivey. He was a graduate of Georgia Tech and retired from the Milan Arsenal, where he worked for twenty years in quality control. He was a member of Englewood Baptist Church. Wesley was known by his family and friends as having a high level of computer and mathematic skills.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Kirk Ivey of Jackson, TN; his mother, Allene Kerns Ivey of Gainesville, GA; a brother, Garry Ivey (Sherry) of Dawsonville, GA; a sister, Barbara Brown of Gainesville, GA; two nieces, Ally Brown of Gainesville, GA and Lori Ivey of Georgia; and a nephew, Clint Kerns of Crossville, TN.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 14, 2014 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
