Wanda L. Wadley

Wanda L. Wadley, age 74, of Jackson, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Born on April 12, 1951, in Martin, Tennessee, Wanda was a cherished wife, an esteemed librarian, and a passionate antique enthusiast.

Wanda was a proud graduate of Martin High School before pursuing her higher education at the University of Tennessee-Martin, where she earned her bachelor's degree, and later at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where she received her master's degree. With a deep commitment to education and community, she dedicated her career as a Librarian with the Jackson Madison County Public Library, where she made a lasting impact on countless lives through her love for reading and learning.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Wanda was known for her warm spirit and passion for antiquing. She enjoyed spending time at Yarbrough's Antique Mall, where she maintained booths, sharing her finds and treasures with others. Her love for collecting and the stories behind each item reflected her deeper appreciation for history and art.

Wanda is survived by her loving husband, Gary Wadley, who stood by her side throughout the years, supporting her endeavors and sharing in her passions. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Bonnie White Stewart, who instilled in her a strong sense of integrity and a love for knowledge.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation scheduled for Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Arrington Funeral Directors. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at Ridgecrest Cemetery, located at 200 Ridgecrest Rd, Jackson, TN at 11:00 AM.

Wanda L. Wadley leaves behind a legacy of kindness, wisdom, and joy for life that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her contributions to her community and her loved ones will be remembered fondly.
