Virginia Ann Epperson, age 79, died on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Virginia was born in Corinth, MS on February 1, 1939, the daughter of the late Herbert and Ruth Billingsley Council. She was married to William Epperson who preceded her in death. She was retired from the Folsom Prison in Folsom, CA as an accountant. She enjoyed cooking, fishing and sewing. She was Church of Christ in faith and loved to listen to gospel music especially the Gaithers. He is survived by her three sons, Herschell Epperson, Jeff Epperson and Keith Epperson, two sisters, Frances Lipford and Nancy Council; eleven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Greg Epperson, who was a big part of her life, as well as, two brothers, Howard Council and Doug Council and a sister, Jane McBride. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, January 14, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
