Obituary

Velma Lee "Sue" Garner, age 90, died on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. A native of Henderson County, TN, she was born on August 30, 1926, the daughter of the late Fenner and Hautie McDaniel. She married Robert Garner on December 29, 1946, and just celebrated their 70th Anniversary. She was a member of the Lighthouse Church of Jackson and a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Robert Garner of Jackson, TN; her daughter, Judy Fletcher and husband Gil of Humboldt, TN; her sisters, Jean Williams of Luray, TN and Peggy Richie and Teddie Olson both of Lexington, TN; her grandchildren, William Russell Fletcher and wife Amy of Piperton, TN and Amy Noland and husband Steven of Knoxville, TN and four great grandchildren, Anna Grace Fletcher, Samantha Noland, Garner Fletcher and Andrew Noland. She was preceded in death by five siblings, Berlin McDaniel, Wilson McDaniel, Cornelia Hart, Katie Bartholomew and Jerry McDaniel. SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 10, 2017 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors, with Pastor Ronald Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Henderson County, TN. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, January 9, 2017, From 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Tuesday prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
