Vaughn Nell Coughlin Vaughn Nell Coughlin, age 79 died peacefully on November 14, 2021, at St. Thomas Midtown of Nashville, TN. Vaughn was born on April 5, 1942, in Jackson, TN, the daughter of the late Howard T. and Jodie Hutcherson Kernodle. She was a graduate of Northside High School and was retired from Jackson Transit Authority as a driver. She was a loving mother that cared deeply for her family. She enjoyed reading and cooking in her younger years. She is survived by her two sons, David J Coughlin Jr (wife, Renee) of Henderson, TN and Joel B Coughlin of Pinson, TN, a grandson Joel David Coughlin (JD) and a sister, Frances Tignor of Memphis, TN.
