Timothy "Tim" Alan Chance

Timothy Alan “Tim” Chance, age 56, died January 27, 2022, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Born in Waverly, TN on December 2, 1965, he was the son of late Barry Alan Chance and Leona Mae Stewart Chance.
Tim served in the US Navy and was a self-employed Martial Arts Instructor after obtaining his 4th Degree Black Belt in Kenpo Karate.
Survivors are his wife, Karen Kee Chance; son, Cory Alan Chance and his wife Robin, of Humboldt; daughter, Catherine Elizabeth “Caley” Chance of Jackson, TN; stepmother, Bonnie Chance; two brothers, Paul Andrew “Andy” Chance and Junior Hedrick; and grandchild, Layla Chance, stepson Adam Morris (Amanda) and children, Stepfather Gerald Williams, Step Brother Thomas Williams, Step Sister Emily Dukes, nieces Macy and Shelby Chance.
Other than his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Wayna Hedrick.
SERVICES: A graveside funeral service with Military Honors will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 1:30 PM at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be directed to Vanderbilt Lung Institute, 719 Thompson LN. Suite 20300, Nashville, TN 37204.
