Susan Steed Hendrix passed away surrounded by family on Saturday July 3, 2021, at the age of 74. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert A. Steed and Sarah L. Andrews and her dear friend Marie Townes. She is survived by her loving husband, Dwayne Sr., one child Dwayne Jr, one grandchild, Jordan Hendrix of Sevierville, and her older sister, Sandra Steed of Henderson. Susan graduated from Chester County High School and Union University. She married Dwayne Hendrix July 5, 1968, and will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, a wonderful nurse, independent businesswoman, and a lover of all animals, especially her puppies. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be directed to the Jackson Animal Care Center, 23 Pinnacle Dr, Jackson, TN 38301 or charity of the donors choice.
