Sam Hall entered his heavenly home on Friday, April 14, 2023, at AHC Healthcare of Jackson at the age of 86. He was born in Jackson, TN on Thursday, May 7, 1936, the son of the late Will S and Ethel Boswell Hall as one of seven children. He was a 1958 graduate of the University of Memphis-Lambuth formerly Lambuth College receiving his bachelors degree. Sam was a self-employed farmer, one time Madison County Young Farmer of the Year and later became a Land Developer. He was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Jackson, having formerly served as an Elder. He loved being outdoors and driving around. He was always happy to stop and talk to friends. His greatest pleasure in life was his grandchildren especially watching them play sports. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Beverly Roote Hall of Jackson, TN; two sons, Bill Hall and wife Lisa of Jackson, TN and Jay Hall and wife Mandy of Jackson; five grandchildren, Will Hall, Grady Hall, Molly Hall Wedel and husband Ashton, Logan Hall Ray and husband Gage and Haley Hall Teer and husband Jackson and one great grandchild, Liam Hall. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by three brother and three sisters. SERVICES: A funeral service for Sam will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2023, at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Terry Hunley officiating. A burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 p.m. at the church until the service at 1:00 p.m. The family is requesting that memorial contributions be directed to First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1730 Highway 45 Bypass, Jackson, TN 38305.
