Obituary

Robert Edward "Bob" Stader, 82, of Jackson, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, from complications related to Parkinson's disease.

Bob was born on January 26, 1944, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, to the late Kathryn Kremser Stader and John Parker Stader. He graduated from Jackson High School and went on to earn his degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin, where he served as an officer in the Army and was a proud member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.

Following in his father's footsteps, Bob worked by his side at Stader Tire Service and continued his career in the tire industry for many years. Though he was a gifted athlete, his greatest joy came from coaching his sons in various sports and watching them grow into the men he was so proud of. Later in life, his love and pride extended to his granddaughters, and he and Diane rarely missed an opportunity to cheer them on.

Bob was a devoted University of Tennessee football fan and shared a special bond with his mother-in-law, Audrey "Nanny" Graves, as they spent countless hours watching Atlanta Braves games together.

He was a member of Fellowship Bible Church of Jackson, TN, where he modeled Christ's love through his humility, kindness, and steadfast faith. He will be remembered as the foundation of his family — a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose love of God and others touched every life he encountered.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Diane Graves Stader; his brother, Jay Stader of Ventura, California; and his sister, Mary Forgy of Gallatin, TN. Bob was a loving father to his two sons, Robert "Bo" Stader of Franklin, TN, and his wife Jennifer, and their daughter Isabella; and Scott Stader of Collierville, TN, and his wife Jana, and their daughters Ryan and Parker. He also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Jacqueline Stader and Richard Howard Stader.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Fellowship Bible Church in Jackson, TN, in the coming weeks.
