A memorial service for Robert "Bob" Louis Phillips of Jackson, TN will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at All Saints Anglican Church with the Reverend Wes Gristy officiating. A reception with the family will follow in the church foyer. Bob passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Detroit, MI on August 24, 1923, the son of the late Louis and Connie Phillips. He was a corporal in the United States Army Air Force during World War II. He worked for National Cash Register Company for twenty-five years and then owned and operated Charles Chips of Jackson and Charles System Supplies of Jackson. He was best known around town as "Mr. Chips". He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of sixty years, Shirley Phillips of Jackson, TN; his daughter, Martha Stepp and husband Bill of Jackson, TN; his granddaughter, Maggie Stepp and grandson, Houston Stepp and a host of friends.
