Rex Dorrough, 80 passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 at his residence. He was born June 20, 1935 the son of the late Miles and Oma Lee Henley Dorrough. Rex was the youngest of six siblings who all preceded him in death, Montez Dorrough, Inez Tulip, Charlie Dorrough, Ralph Dorrough and Travis Dorrough. Rex was a longtime member of Poplar Heights Baptist Church. He is survived by a son, Ronnie Dorrough and wife Marcy; a daughter, Kay Gower and husband Steve; three grandchildren, Brett Gower and wife Whitney, Ben Gower and wife Jeannie and Meghan Dorrough; two great grandchildren, Nathan Gower and Paxton Dorrough all of Jackson, TN. SERVICES: Funeral service for Mr. Dorrough will be held 11:00 AM Monday, January 18, 2016 at Arrington Funeral Directors with Rev. George Vernon Henley officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday January 17, 2016 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Poplar Heights Baptist Church.
