Rebecca Louise Buckaloo South passed away peacefully on Friday, July 17, 2026, at the age of 87. Surrounded by those who cared for her at Maplewood Health and Rehab in Jackson, Tennessee, Rebecca’s long and meaningful life came to a gentle close.

Born on February 7, 1939, in Trenton, Tennessee, Rebecca began a journey defined by kindness, commitment, and enduring love for her family. She was the cherished daughter of the late Jonah Frank Buckaloo and Lucille Davis Buckaloo,

Her legacy continues through her devoted son, Greg Morris, and his wife, Lori, as well as her beloved daughter, Victoria Lay and husband Phillip. The bond she shared with her family was rooted in mutual respect and enduring affection.

Services for Mrs. South will be held at a later date.
