Phillip Mullikin passed away on June 25, 2026, in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 75. Born on August 9, 1950, in Mercer, Tennessee, Phillip’s journey through life was marked by devotion to his family, dedication to his work, and a love for the simple joys in life.
Throughout his career, Phillip worked as a brick mason and was self-employed, taking pride in his craft. His years of hard work allowed him to retire 26 years ago, affording him the time to devote himself more fully to the people and pursuits he cherished most.
A man of many passions, Phillip found true happiness in the outdoors, especially when fishing and deer hunting. These activities were not just hobbies for him, but treasured opportunities to create lasting memories with his children and grandchildren. He delighted in taking them along on fishing trips and hunting excursions, weaving a tapestry of shared experiences that those closest to him will hold dear forever.
Phillip’s life was a testament to family bonds and genuine warmth. He was known as family oriented, nice, funny, and truly the life of the party. His giving nature and welcoming spirit touched everyone who had the privilege to know him. Among his proudest accomplishments was, unequivocally, his family—whom he loved more than life itself.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Frances Mullikin; son, Daniel Mullikin (Jennifer); daughter, Daronda Frazier (David); grandchildren, Tonya Sullivan, Logan Mullikin, Mike Mullikin, Kaitlyn Rumley, Cameron Tidwell, Jake McNabb, and Ashley McNabb; brother, Ray Mullikin; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret Mullikiin; granddaughter, Chelsea Frazier; and siblings, Larry Mullikin, Johnny Mullikiin, Glenn Mullikiin, Thomas Mullikin, Robert Earl Mullikin, Wayne Mullikin, and Linda Mullikin.
A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Arrington Funeral Directors. The burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, June 29, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at stjude.org/donate or to Lebonheur Children's Hospital at lebonheur.org.
Phillip Mullikin’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and the enduring impact of a generous heart deeply devoted to family and friends. He will be remembered fondly and missed greatly by all who knew him.
