Philip Lowell Lewis

Philip Lowell Lewis, age 64 of Jacksboro, TN passed away suddenly on December 22, 2025, at North Knoxville Medical Center in Powell, TN.

Philip was born on October 19, 1961; in Hopkinsville, KY, and he grew up in Jackson, TN. He is a 1979 graduate of OHA (Now USJ) in Jackson, TN, a 1984 graduate of Baylor University in Waco, TX, and graduated with a master's degree in Sociology in 1985 from Baylor University. His life work was in the mental health field. His favorite football team growing up was the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he also was a huge Baylor University Bears sports fan.

Philip is survived by his sister Joy Ruth Lewis of Jackson, TN; preceded in death by his parents Thomas Lowell Lewis and Rachel Jackson Lewis; and an infant brother Michael Thomas Lewis.

A Graveside Service for Philip Lewis was held at Turner Cemetery on December 26, 2025 and his burial followed the service.

A Memorial Service will be held at Arrington Funeral Home on Saturday, March 7 with a visitation, from 1 to 2 p.m. and the service will start at 2 p.m.
