Peggy Robertson, a beloved matriarch, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, at the age of 89, in Jackson, Tennessee. Born on October 3, 1936, in Crockett County, TN, Peggy lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a profound passion for family and community.
For 25, Peggy dedicated her professional life to Brasfield Jewelers, where warmth and friendly demeanor left a lasting impression on everyone who walked through the door. Later, as a caregiver at the First Baptist Church Day Care Humboldt, she found immense joy in nurturing and taking care of the children, which echoed her deep-seated love for family. Peggy's connections with those little ones were a reflection of her nurturing spirit—she poured kindness into everything she did.
Peggy had an adventurous heart and loved to travel whenever she could. Whether it was a weekend getaway or an exploration of new places, she always embraced the opportunity to create lasting memories. Her zest for life extended into her hobbies, particularly her passion for perfecting her yard and flowers. Her gardens were always immaculate, a testament to her dedication and care. She was known to take matters into her own hands, ensuring that if anyone tried to help with her yard maintenance, it was done to her impeccable standards.
A loyal fan of Elvis, Peggy found joy in the music of the King. In a heartfelt gesture of appreciation, a nurse once gifted her an Elvis blanket, which became one of her treasured possessions. It symbolized not only her love for the music but also the warmth and care she received from those around her.
More than anything, Peggy was proud of her family. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, showering them with unconditional love and support. Her family was everything to her, and they will forever carry her memory and values in their hearts.
Left to cherish her memory is her devoted daughter, Teresa Summar; loving grandchildren, Hunter Summar (Tessa) and Nicholas Summar (Melisa); adored great-grandchildren, Dylan Summar, Lilly Summar, Dalton Summar, Cole Summar, and Gabriel Summar; sister, Wanda Kay Reasons (Lynn); and two nieces. She was preceded in death bye her husband, Bobby Robertson and parents, Lloyd and Beda Balentine.
A graveside service to honor Peggy's life will be held on October 24, 2025, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Humboldt, TN, starting at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Kevin Hamilton will officiate.
Her legacy of love, strength, and joy will continue to resonate with all who were fortunate enough to know her. Peggy Robertson will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on through the cherished memories she created within her family and community.
