Pauline entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at her Humboldt residence with her loving husband and family by her side.
She was born on December 3, 1932, in Jackson, TN, the daughter of the late Albert Ross and Lila King Kuykendall. She was a 1951 graduate of Jackson High School. She married the love of her life, Warren Lee Herndon on March 2, 1952, and were happily married for seventy-three years. From this union there were two daughters, Rita and Sharon. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Pauline and her husband, Warren owned and operated Factory Surplus Drapery Outlet in Downtown Humboldt that later became known as Humboldt Home Fashions. She thoroughly enjoyed working in the family business for forty-three years and had a talent for visual merchandising.
In her later years she enjoyed traveling with her husband throughout the United States. Pauline looked forward to and loved going to church all her life and was gifted with a beautiful voice to sing praises to God. She faithfully attended Lighthouse Church of Jackson.
Pauline will be remembered for her sweet and kind heart, her gentle nature and her gift of encouragement to her family and friends. She was dearly loved and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents Pauline was preceded in death by her sister, Lucille Singleton, her brothers, Reuben, Floyd, Halton, John and Charles Kuykendall and her son-in-law Larry Shelton.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Warren Herndon and her daughters, Rita Shelton and Sharon Herndon; her three grandchildren, Brian Shelton, Brittany Kraemer and husband Scott and Bethany Cockrum and husband Scott and five great grandchildren, Gracie Brown, Trenton Brown, Brinna Kraemer, Isaac Cockrum and Anabelle Cockrum.
SERVICES: A time for family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors. A service to honor Pauline's life will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Gary Jones officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Highland Memorial Gardens with Pastor Donald Lance officiating.

As we say farewell to Pauline, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a journey completed with grace. Her memory will forever be a source of comfort and strength to those who loved her. May she rest in peace, secure in the knowledge that her life was a true reflection of the virtues she held dear.
