Patricia Faye Isbell

September 23, 1938 — August 22, 2022

Patricia (Patsy) Faye Isbell, age 83, passed from this life peacefully at home with her family by her side on Monday, August 22, 2022.
She was born Patricia Faye Osborne on September 23, 1938, in Birmingham, AL, to Charles Lester Osborne and Annie Upton Osborne. They returned to the Jackson area, where Patsy received most of her education in the West Tennessee schools. While attending Northside High School, she met her future husband, Don Gene Isbell. They were part of the farming community of Obion County for thirty-five years.
Their fifty-eight-year marriage celebrated the birth of four children, Connie S. Stone (Danny), Randy D. Isbell, Crystie Gaskey (Ray) and Don G. Isbell, Jr.; four grandchildren, Crystal Oliver (Matt), Chad Stone (Katie), Ashlynn P. Isbell and Aydon Isbell; and five great-grandchildren, Avery Stone, Elise Stone, Bennett Stone, Claire Oliver, and Reagan Oliver. Her younger brother, Charles Richard Osborne survives her along with many nephews and nieces.
Patricia was of the Christian faith, serving as a primary Bible teacher, Vacation Bible school teacher and working with inmates in jail ministries. A member of the Grace Notes vocal group, she sang in her church choir as a soloist with the Second Baptist Church in Union City, TN for many years. Patricia was also a Disc Jockey in Union City in her younger years. Her life’s priority was her Lord, reading her Bible daily and her true desire was to serve and be a loving wife and mother to her husband and four children. She was dedicated to her children’s school needs and served as a PTA member and president of the Woodland Mills, TN area for two terms, receiving a life-time membership. It was not uncommon during family reunions for Richard to play his guitar and Patricia to play the piano singing family favorite songs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Isbell, her parents, two brothers, Lester Alan Osborne of Memphis, TN and Lowell Thomas Osborne of St. Louis, MO.
