Obituary

Mr. Norman H. Harmon, age 94, died Monday, July 19, 2021 in Jackson, TN from a brief illness. He was born the son of Chase and Myrtle Heflin Harmon in Elwood, IN. Norman was retired as a pipefitter for Chrysler Corporation, was a veteran of WW2, serving in the Army Air Corps, and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Jackson, TN. He enjoyed fixing or repairing things, plumbing, loved playing cards, his weekly socials with his children, volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, and was a devoted family man who loved his family deeply. He is survived by his wife of 76 years, Luella Harmon of Jackson, TN; three sons, Harvey (Brandi) Harmon of Jackson, TN; John (Karen) Harmon of Jackson, TN; James Harmon of Newport Beach, CA; two daughters, Debbie (Dart) Longeway of Jackson, TN; and Connie (Kelly) McClelland of Orlando, FL; eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.
