Jackson

Nancy Jane Whiteaker left this world on May 28, 2025, in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 82. Born on May 9, 1943, in Virginia, Nancy touched the lives of many with her warm spirit and unwavering faith.

Nancy dedicated several years of her career to Barnett's Express trucking company, where she served as a dispatcher. Her beloved husband, William, worked alongside her as a manager, sharing both professional and personal joys. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with love and teamwork.

Reflecting on her life, one can find treasures among her cherished memories. In the days leading up to her move to a nursing home, Nancy’s family discovered a wealth of memorabilia that spoke of a life lived with passion and meaning. From her son’s school days to delightful moments captured from her grandchildren's childhoods, each piece told a story and highlighted her deep commitment to family.

A woman of simple pleasures, Nancy delighted in sweet treats and cherished her daily coffee. She found peace and solace in her favorite hobbies, which included attending church and immersing herself in reading the Bible. Her family recalls how much she adored shopping, able to lose track of time as she explored stores, her joyful spirit shining brightly in every moment.

Nancy was immensely proud of her family and her faith. For many years, she was an active member of Faith Assembly Pentecostal Church, where she drew strength and comfort from her spiritual community. Despite health challenges later in life, her spirit remained steadfast as she continued to embody the values she cherished.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Chris Whiteaker (Kerrie); brother, Clayton Anderson (Kathi); grandchildren, Morgan Whiteaker, Kinsee McKenzie (Jordan), and Jake Whiteaker; step-grandchildren, Shelby Quillen (Matt) and Cody Howell; great-granddaughters, Madilyn Stablein and Maisie Jane McKenzie; and one great-grandson, Samuel, on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Whiteaker; parents, Raynor and Rilda Anderson; and siblings, Virginia Anderson, Hazel Sanford, Helen Orange, James Anderson, and Billy Ray Anderson.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2025, in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Bro. Don Cartwright officiating. The burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and family from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service the same day.
