She had a heart for those who needed guidance and support during their time of need. Additionally, Nancy Jane selflessly volunteered as a mentor for Men and Women of Hope and the City of Jackson Recovery Court, offering hope to individuals on their journey towards healing and recovery. In 2010, Madison County Mayor Jimmy Harris, proclaimed Tuesday, June 15, as Nancy Hall Day.

In her personal life, Nancy Jane cherished her family above all else. She was deeply loved by her husband Bill, who shared wonderful memories with her over the years. Together, they created a legacy that will continue to inspire future generations.
