Obituary

Nancy Parrish Burleson, 80, died on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Nancy was born in Atlanta, GA on October 9, 1933, the daughter of the late William Presley and Estora Morgan Parrish. She was a member of Skyline Church of Christ where she was active in the Senior Adult ministries. Nancy and her husband Hal led the "Trail Blazers," the senior group at Skyline for twelve years. She loved her ladies' Bible Study group at Skyline and was actively involved in ministering at The Womens Care Center of Jackson, an organization that provides care to homeless and abused women and their children. She was a member and former board member of the Jackson Arts Association. Nancy is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Hal Burleson, Sr. of Jackson, TN; two sons, Hal Burleson, Jr and wife Lori of Panama City, FL and Dr. David Burleson and wife Cathy of Jackson, TN; her daughter, Jana Burleson Harmon and husband Stephen of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Jane Locke of Seaford, DE; seven grandchildren, Ryan Burleson, Jared Burleson and wife Morgan, Catie Burleson, Jeni Burleson Presley and husband Chase, Will Burleson, Ansley Harmon and Jordan Harmon, and one great grandchild, Gunter Hayes Burleson. SERVICES: A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Skyline Church of Christ with Jeff Brown, Minister, officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors. Memorial contributions may be directed to The Care Center of Jackson, 3720 N.
