Milton Vance Wilson

April 30, 1939 — August 1, 2023

Pinson

Milton Vance Wilson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on August 1, 2023, in his hometown of Pinson, Tennessee.

He was born on April 30, 1939, in Pinson, to his loving parents Walter and Virgie Brawner Wilson.

Milton had a rich and fulfilling life, creating beautiful memories with his family and making a lasting impact on those around him. He served with honor in the United States Air Force for three years before transitioning into civilian life where he was employed as a clerk with Norfork Southern Railroad for over thirty-six years before retirement.

One of Milton's greatest passions was nature. He found solace in hunting and fishing, where he could immerse himself in the beauty of the great outdoors. Milton's flowers were another source of joy for him; he worked tirelessly to cultivate and tend to his flowers, bringing vibrant colors and fragrances into the world.  He was a long-time member of Pinson Baptist Church.

In his leisure time, Milton enjoyed watching Car Restoration programs with great interest. He marveled at the process of taking an old vehicle and transforming it into a piece of art. His fascination with car restoration was a testament to his appreciation for craftsmanship and determination.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Peggy S. Wilson, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Milton was a devoted father to his sons, Chris and wife Crystal of Luray, TN, and Ryan and wife Kelly of Henderson, TN and his daughter-in-law Brandi Wilson of Henderson, TN.

Milton adored his grandchildren Madelyn, Blakely, Gunner, Colt, Luke, Brett, Emelyn, and Briggs Wilson. Their laughter and hugs brought him immense joy as he witnessed them grow and discover the wonders of life. His legacy will live on through them.

Milton was preceded in death by a son, Mark Wilson, his brothers, Rodney Wilson and Bruce Wilson and a sister, Miriam Hovis.
