Michael G. Bell, age 71, died on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Michael was born in Chicago, IL on September 11, 1945, the son of the late Mack and Margie Mathis Bell. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was retired from the Jackson Madison County General Hospital with seventeen years of employment. He was a communicant of St. Marys Catholic Church and a member of the V.F.W. Post 1848 and the American Legion Post 90. He is survived by his wife, Carmen Bell of Jackson, TN; his son, Eric Bell of Jackson, TN; two daughters, Dr. Karen Bell of Abington, PA and Kelly Bell; a step brother, Terry Essary of Phoenix, AZ; a sister, Margie Karling and husband Fred of Chicago, IL and a grandchild, Harmony Bell of Jackson. SERVICES: A funeral mass will be held at 5:00 PM Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Marys Catholic Church. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 PM until the service time at the church.
