Mary Steele, age 86, died on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at her Jackson, TN residence under the care of Tennessee Quality Hospice. Mary was born in Liverpool, England on July 18, 1933, the daughter of the late Reginald and Lilian Waynewright Crow. She was married to Edward Steele who preceded her in 2014. A homemaker, Mary attended Art School in Liverpool and followed her love as an Artist for many years painting many wonderful pieces. She also enjoyed relaxing and reading a good book. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church of Jackson. She is survived by her daughter, Maryellen Allen and husband Darrell of Jackson, TN; two sisters, Elizabeth Holmes and husband John and Marjorie McClane and husband Glen all of Liverpool, England; two grandsons, Grant Allen and wife Corinne and Taylor Allen and a Godchild, Stacy Hooten. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a Son, Sam Steele and a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Steele. SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 24, 2019 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors, with Rev. Grant Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday, August 24, 2019 prior to the service at Arrington Funeral Directors. Pallbearers will be Grant Allen, Taylor Allen, Jim Day, Matthew Fry, Gordon Eubanks, David Allen, Don Pafford, Glenn Harvey Hollingsworth and Lance Hathcock.
