Funeral services for Canal Hixon, 29, will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 16, 2011 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Ms Hixon died on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.Canal was born in Morristown, TN on July 21, 1982, the daughter of Earl Michael Hixon, Sr and Sheree Baker. She was a graduate of Northside High School of Jackson, TN. She attended Concordia Lutheran Church of Jackson and enjoyed working with crafts.She is survived by her mother, Sheree Mignogna and husband Michael of Jackson, TN; her father, Earl Michael Hixon, Sr. of Jackson, TN; a son, Alan Wayne Johnson and daughter, Morgan Leigh Ann Johnson both of Jackson, TN; three brothers, Kenneth Hixon and Johathan both of Jackson, TN, Michael Hixon II of Murfreesboro, TN and a step brother, Daniel Mignogna of Paris, TN; her maternal grandmother, Marilyn Baker of Jackson, TN.She was preceded by grandparents, Kenneth Baker, Robert Hixon and Tressie Canal Hixon and a brother, Brian Mathew Hixon.The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, September 15, 2011 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
