Marie Potts Pope, age 87, formerly of Jackson, TN, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022 in Prattville, AL. Marie was born January 25, 1935 to the late J.B. and Mae Potts. Aside from her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul T. Pope; sister, Virginia Widner; and brothers, J.B. Potts, Jr. and Herman Potts. She is survived by her daughter, Natasha Sherman (Steve); son, Richard Pope (Judy); four grandchildren, Molly Aldridge (Rodney), Theron Pope, Stephanie Lee (Hunter), and Sarah Marie Kelley (Branden); two great-grandchildren, Avery Claire Kelley and Luke Tyler Kelley; brother, Larry Potts; and extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2022 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with David Powell and Teddy Butler officiating. The burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
