Funeral services for Margaret N. Smith, 79, will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday, November 29, 2011 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors, with Dr. John Farrar officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Smith died on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the Regional Hospital of Jackson.A native of Jackson, TN Margaret was born on October 28, 1932, the daughter of the late William Isaac and Gipsy Williams Maxwell. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and caring for her family. Before her health decline, Margaret was a caregiver to the elderly at area nursing homes. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Jackson.She is survived by a daughter, Vickie Burgess and husband Barry of Germantown, TN; a son, Mac Smith of Jackson, TN; the father of her children, William O.?Bill? Smith, Jr. of Jackson, TN; two brothers, Gipsy Maxwell and wife Ann and James ?Cotton? Maxwell all of Jackson, TN; two sisters, Danita Willey and husband Don of Jackson and Ona Mae Leatherwood and husband Bobby of Charleston, SC and three grandchildren, Michael Wolfe, Mary Margaret Wolfe and Brett Smith.Pallbearers will be Michael Wolfe, Brett Smith, Greg Yates, Randy Hayes, Randy Butler and Ed LaGrange.The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 from 9:30 AM until the service time at 11:00 AM at Arrington Funeral Directors.Arrington Funeral Directors, 148 W.
