***NOTICE IN SERVICE RESCHEDULE DATE: SERVICES HAVE BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY, JANUARY 17, 2025 AT 2:00 P.M.**** Margaret Donelson Whalley Evans passed away unexpectedly at her residence at Brookdale Jackson Oaks in Jackson, TN on Thursday, January 2. She was 82; a month shy of her 83rd birthday. She was born February 1, 1942, in Jackson, TN. She was a homemaker, creative, and mother. Margaret channeled her love of art and color into her business, The Knitting Nook, and in her later years loved pencil drawings, painting, and other crafts. Margaret never missed Bingo at Brookdale. She would always walk down early for the best seat and meet her friends for dinner nightly. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Lisa Wilson (James), and her son Steven Murchison, her brothers, Albert Edward Whalley III (Brenda), and David Whalley (Francie Mello). She also leaves her grandchildren, Natalie Wilson Abell (George) and John McQuiston Wilson II, and her great-granddaughter, Sophie Grace Abell. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Edward Whalley, Jr. and Doris Mai Barnes Whalley. A graveside service to honor Margarets life will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Highland Memorial Gardens in Jackson, TN, at 2:00 p.m. The family would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to Brookdale Jackson Oaks for their love and care during Margarets residency there.
