Jackson, Tennessee

Lois G. Wiseman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on the evening of March 4, 2024, at Maplewood the age of 78.
 
She was born on December 19, 1945, in Elizabethton, TN, the daughter of the late George Warren and Florence Loretta Ashley Watson.
 
In her professional life, Lois excelled in retail sales for several years. However, her true passion lay in her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She found immense joy in spending time with them and nurturing their growth and happiness.

In addition to her professional endeavors, Lois enjoyed hobbies such as adult coloring, gardening, sewing, and visiting family and friends. Her warm presence and caring nature endeared her to many.
 
Lois will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Billy Wiseman in 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Mary W. Ross and husband Pat; brother-in-law, Jimmie Wiseman and wife Jo; granddaughter, Min-Ha Park and great-grandson, Ethan Ross, Sr. and wife Alijarrett; grandchildren, Rebecca Claire Ross, Ethan Ross Jr., and Silas Ross and special friends, Louise Ross and Kimberly Flatley. She is also survived by nieces, Kathy Kolb and husband John and Charlena Park and husband Andrew as well as several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Opal W. Brewer and husband Roy and Louise Scott and husband Carl Jr. and sister-in-law, Paula Wiseman.

A visitation to honor Lois's life will take place on March 7, 2024, beginning at 4:00 p.m. and continuing until 6:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Jackson, TN. A celebration of her life will be held at 6:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church.

A committal service for Lois will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Happy Valley Memorial Park located in Elizabethton, TN.

The family wishes to thank Maplewood Healthcare and Tennessee Quality Hospice for the special care given to Mrs. Wiseman.

The family is requesting that memorial contributions be directed to the West Tennessee Veterans Coalition, PO Box 11342, Jackson, TN 38308-0122.


 
 As we bid farewell to Lois in this earthly realm, may we carry forward the love she shared with us and cherish the memories created together. May she rest in eternal peace knowing that she was cherished deeply by those whose lives she touched.
