Obituary

Laura Leigh Jackson, age 47, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Jackson, Tennessee on September 29, 1974, the daughter of Danny and Page Jackson. Laura attended Northside High School and worked as a Nail Technician for more than 20 years. She was very active at her church Opening Doors Ministries of Jackson Tennessee. Other than her mother, Laura was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James and Frances Tomlinson and her paternal grandparents, Jamie and Doris Jackson. Laura is survived by her father, Danny Jackson, brothers, Keith and Sam Jackson and nephew Cody Jackson. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles, Jim and Ginny Tomlinson, Lee and Donna Tomlinson, Molly Jowers, Beth and Joe Moran and Teri and Ted Wells as well as many cousins. Laura loved the beach, impromptu road trips and talking with people. From the time Laura was very young, animals were her passion. For many years she raised and showed quarter horses and Johnson American Bulldogs. SERVICES: A Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Browns Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Arrington Funeral Directors Memorials can be made to Opening Doors Ministries of Jackson Tennessee c/o Pastor Wesley McCoy 4092 Hwy 70 E.
