Kenneth Ray McAlpin passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, at the age of 61 in his hometown of Jackson.
He was born on June 21, 1963, in Jackson, TN, the son of the late Wayne B and Barbara N. Willis McAlpin. Ken was known for his fun-loving spirit and easy-going personality, traits that endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He had a heart full of gold and would help anyone that needed him. He was also very involved with LifeBridge Recovery of Henderson, TN and would facilitate those classes as well. He also assisted the Director of LifeBridge with Chester Co Jail Ministry. Kenneth was very much involved in the community of Chester Co and liked by all he came in contact with. Ken received certification in Chaplain Training from Northeast Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Center in 2014 as well as certificates from Living Free Community in the prevention or overcoming Life-controlling problems in 2015.
Ken dedicated much of his life to his career in manufacturing, working with various companies throughout the years. His contributions to the industry were significant.
A proud graduate of Jackson Central Merry High School, Ken maintained strong ties to his roots in Jackson, where he built a life that was surrounded by family and friends. He was deeply loved and is survived by his son, Justin McAlpin, and wife Rebecca Beall of Tampa, FL; his daughter, Jessica Scott, and husband Joshua as well as grandchildren Chandra and Zayne Scott of Jackson, TN; his sister, Dawn Davis, and husband James of Jackson, TN; his brother, Gary McAlpin of Jackson, TN; and another brother, Jimmy McAlpin of North Carolina. Ken joins his beloved siblings Charlotte, Michael, and Brian, as well as his parents Wayne and Barbara McAlpin who have preceded him in death. His memory will continue to live in the hearts of those who knew him.
A memorial service honoring Ken's life will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Bro Roger Penn, officiating. Family and friends are invited to join in remembrance of Ken who will forever endure in the lives he touched.
