Kay Williams Coley, age 77, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Born on Monday, October 4, 1948, in Milan, Tennessee, she was the only child of the late Charles and Catherine Williams Coley. Kay's life was a tapestry woven with kindness, warmth, and a deep love for the world around her.

After graduating from Milan High School, Kay enjoyed a distinguished career in banking, where she served as a state bank examiner and held a leadership position at INSOUTH Bank. Her professional journey reflected her strong work ethic and commitment to excellence, earning her respect and admiration in her field.

Kay was not only a steadfast professional but also a proud individual who embraced her unique spirit. She took great pride in her red hair, an emblem of her vibrant spirit. It was not merely a feature; it encapsulated the vivacity and passion she brought into every aspect of her life.

She was, at her core, a private person who nonetheless cared deeply for others, often lending a listening ear or a helping hand to those in need. A true animal lover, Kay held a special fondness for cats, often finding joy and companionship in their playful antics.

Throughout her life, she was a devoted volunteer, contributing 40 years of service to the Miss Tennessee Pageant, where she worked tirelessly backstage to support the event and its participants.

Kay is survived by her cousin, Dr. Thomas Fields of Satellite Beach, FL.

No services are planned at this time. Kay will be buried next to her parents at Oakwood Cemetery in Milan, TN.
