Katie Mae Morris Katie Mae Morris, age 79, died on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Katie was born in Henderson, TN on September 7, 1934, the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Annie Lee Esra Morris. Katie was a joy and blessing to her family. She had a zeal for life and a genuine love for all. Her laugh was contagious. Her many interest included crafts, music, dance, animals and church fellowship. She was a part of Easter Seals of West Tennessee for over thirty years and worked at the Day Center in Lexington, TN. She is survived by her sister, Jackie Morris Pate, whom she affectionately called "Baby" and husband Charlie Pate, and Jewell Morris Maness all of Jackson, TN; eight nieces and nephews, twelve great nieces and nephews and four great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Edward Morris, Joe Morris and Carl Morris, a sister, Imogene Hayes and a nephew, David Maness. SERVICE: A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 25, 2014 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Dr. Gary Morse officiating. The family will receive friends from 10AM until 11AM prior to the service. A private burial will take place in Ridgecrest Cemetery.
