Memorial services for Joy Jones Garland, 57, will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, October 6, 2011 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral directors with Brian Giselback and David Powell officiating. Mrs. Garland died on Monday, October 3, 2011 at her mother?s residence.Joy was born in Jackson, TN on October 25, 1953 the daughter of Billie Stephenson Jones and the late William H. Jones. She was employed by the State of Texas with the Department of Human Services. She enjoyed painting, drawing and reading as her hobbies. She also loved all types of animals.She is survived by her husband, Ken Garland of Hurst, TX; her daughter, Kailey Garland of Hurst, TX; her mother, Billie Dement of Jackson, TN; a brother, Mike Jones of Jackson, TN and a step-brother, Fred Dement, Jr. of Greeley, CO.The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, October 6, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
