Josephine Cole Rogers, 93, died Thursday January 9, 2014 at Northbrook Healthcare. She was born April 6, 1920 the daughter of the late Robert and Hassie Bass Coleman in Gibson County, Tennessee. She is a graduate of Gibson High School, attended West Tennessee Business College, and worked for Kirby Jones Furniture Company, Trailways Bus Company and was a bookkeeper for E. L. Morgan Company. She was a member of Englewood Baptist Church and formerly a long time member of North Jackson Baptist Church. She married Roger P. Cole in 1945. They had three boys and a girl. Mr. Cole preceded her in death in 1975. In 1978 she married John N. Rogers. Josephine is survived by two sons, John F. Cole and wife Teresa of Jackson, TN, Jeff Cole and wife Sherry of Jackson, TN, one daughter Linda Hill and husband David of Bartlett, TN, twelve grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two husbands and one son, Francis Joseph Cole. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Dr. Bill Oakley officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.
