Allen Roark, 54, died on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital after a sudden illness. A native of Madison County, Allen was born on March 28, 1959 the son of Mattie Sue Johnson Roark and the late Joe Roark. He was a graduate of Southside High School and was employed by Yanceys Lift Truck Service. Nothing made Allen happier than Barbequing for friends and family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and camping. He was known for being able to build or fix anything. He is survived by his wife, Gina Roark of Jackson; three sons, William Jessie Fillingim of Alamo, TN, David Wayne Fillingim (Amber) of Pinson, TN; Johnathan Brent Cox (Nicole) of Ohio; a daughter, Mary Burns of Jackson, TN; his mother Sue Johnson Roark of Jackson, TN; two nieces that he raised as his own, Laura Ashley Walls and Magan Casey Walls both of Henderson, TN; a brother David Andrew Roark (April) of Brownsville, TN; a sister, Anita Ruth Roark (Michael) of Jackson, TN and eleven grandchildren. SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 29, 2014 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors. Entombment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
