Obituary

John Preston Andreasen was called home to be with the Lord on December 30, 2025, at the age of 85. Having entered this world on September 14, 1940, in Kenosha, WI, John was a cherished son of his beloved hometown. He completed his earthly journey in Jackson, TN.

John was a dedicated worker, spending many years on the assembly line at General Motors. His commitment to his work was evident in the quality and care he took in every task he performed. He was not just a devoted worker but a man of faith, actively participating as a member of the Northside Church. There, he lived out his Christian values with conviction and humility, offering a kind word and a helping hand to anyone in need.

From a young age, John found solace and joy in music. At the tender age of ten, he began writing songs and playing the guitar. His passion for music only grew with time, and he penned countless songs, recording them onto treasured tapes. John's talent extended beyond private enjoyment; he shared his gift through performances, most notably during a period when he played in a band with musician Bobby Randall. His songs, a reflection of his heart and faith, will remain a testament to his creative spirit and love for the harmonious expression of life's moments.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Norma Andreasen; children, John Andreasen, Jr., Randy James Andreasen, Tanya Andreasen, and Richard Andreasen; siblings, Al Andreasen, Mary Peterson, and Betty Hunt; and grandchildren, James Andreasen, Olivia Andreasen, Nadia Andreasen, Morgan Andreasen, and Ava Andreasen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mildred Andreasen.

Though John now sings with the angels above, his legacy continues to resonate through the lives he touched, the work he accomplished, and the melodies he created that will forever echo in the halls of time.
