James Lantrip Jim Lantrip, 80, of Bells, TN died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at his residence. He was born January 4, 1934 in Hulka, MS the son of the late Elton and Lilly Lantrip. Jim was employed with Madison Electric and after retirement was the owner of Jelco Electric. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Barbara Lantrip; two sons, Mike Lantrip and wife June of Drummonds, TN and Keith Lantrip and wife Karen of Walls, MS.; three daughters, Cathy Dodge and husband Don of Hernando, MS, Vickie McAllister and husband John of Drummonds, TN, Tina Dowdy and husband Ken of Southaven, MS; a step son, Michael Sparks of Nashville, TN; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister Monette Cox. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday at Arrington Funeral Directors with Rev. Jerry Drace officiating. Burial will follow in Oakview Memorial Gardens in Alamo, TN. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.
